I’ve been going to Pitt County Schools since I started school in 2011. I started to like science as my favorite subject when I entered high school at South Central in 2020. Math had been my favorite subject up until then, this lead me to me discovering that I wanted to be an engineer!

I think Pitt County Schools were okay. I feel like they did not focus as much on education as they should have. I think funding could have been more spread out in my school. The arts department had only two teachers, but each class (that I took) was extremely filled. The carpentry class had multiple people, but only one teacher. I think they focused too much on what the majority wanted, instead of teaching people that there are other routes. I also distinctly remember wanting to take a ceramics class that was being offered during my sophom*ore year of high school, but the teacher had just left because of the lack of funding. I did enjoy my high school experience in Pitt County Schools, but I think I would have liked to have more options when it came to the route I wanted to take.
