I use my favorite 10 minute Homemade Teriyaki Sauce that can be made in the Instant Pot or on the stove top and if truth be told I love to freeze the leftovers in ice cube trays that are perfect when sautéing up vegetables for an easy side dish. But let's get back to the noodles because they are the star of this show!

Ramen noodles are always a huge hit with kids and teens and my boys are no different but trust me when I tell you to step it up a notch and use a spaghetti or linguini noodle, or your favorite noodle for this recipe. It's so much better.

In the recipe card at the bottom of the post, I've included all the written directions for you on a printable recipe card. With simple ingredients Teriyaki Noodles make a great addition to any Asian-inspired dishes.

How to make Teriyaki Noodles

In the time it takes to make a box of Mac and Cheese, you can make this fresh Teriyaki Noodle. Trust me, you don't need package instructions so let's begin.

Cooking Pasta

Start by cooking the noodle of choice in a large pot of boiling water. Throw in a pinch of salt to the water or step up your game and use broth to boil the noodles. Noodles will be infused with great additional flavor as it cooks in the liquid.

Cooked noodles can be rinsed and drained then set the noodles aside.

Adding Teriyaki Sauce

In a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat, heat up a few tablespoons of extra virgin Olive Oil. Allow the oil to heat up before adding the al dente spaghetti noodles or linguini noodles.

You can substitute Vegetable Oil for Olive oil if you prefer. But I do love how Olive Oil heats up and flavors the noodles. Just saying.

Adding the noodles will give you a large sizzle and pillow of steam. This is normal as the excess water on the pasta hits the oil and causes a reaction. Don't worry.

It's time to add Teriyaki Sauce. Of course we LOVE to make my Teriyaki Sauce recipe but feel free to use your favorite bottled sweet Teriyaki Sauce for this recipe.

Toss the noodles with the sauce and allow it all to come together. Let this cook for a few minutes to allow the Teriyaki Sauce to caramelize up a bit and infuse in the pasta.

Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder and of course some ground ginger too.

This is where you can be creative and add some of your favorite extra ingredients for an easy dinner recipe.

Garnish with Green Onions, Sesame Seeds and slivered carrots and even hot sauce.
