PGS Entertainment has announced the very exciting news that Bagdasarian Productions and Technicolor Animation Productions' (TAP) hit CG-animated series ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks has been greenlight for seasons six and seven!
Update (7/10/20) - California-based Bagdasarian has begun production on season five of ALVINNN!!! and the Chipmunks, with Nickelodeon (international excluding Brazil), Super RTL (Germany) and Gloob (Brazil) on board to air it when it’s released!
Presented in CGI-animation, ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks reflects the trials and tribulations of a single parent, David Seville, trying to raise six hyper-active Chipmunks - Alvin, Simon and Theodore and the Chippettes, Brittany, Eleanor and Jeanette. Like most parents, Dave’s patience will be pushed to the limit, forcing him to end most sentences in “ALVINNN!!!” The series takes viewers on a roller coaster ride of music, laughter and stories geared to entertain the Chipmunks’ four generations of fans and features a new, original Chipmunk song in every episode.
The hit CG-animated ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks debuted on over 70 Nickelodeon and Nick Jr. channels worldwide in 2015 and on many other leading broadcasters across the globe, quickly becoming a ratings success. The series centers on long suffering single parent David Seville as he tries to raise six hyperactive Chipmunks who push his patience to the limit. The show is an energetic mix of music, comedy and stories aimed at entertaining Chipmunks fans of all ages.
The sixth and seventh seasons of ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks will each have 52 x 11-minute episodes (a combined 104 11-minute episodes together), bringing the total number of episodes of ALVINNN!!! up to 364.
Currently in it's fourth season, Nickelodeon is confirmed to have the worldwide broadcast rights (including the U.S. but excluding Brazil) for ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks up until season five. It's currently unknown whether Nickelodeon will acquire the broadcast rights for ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks seasons six and seven.
ALVINNN!!! and The Chipmunks season 5 is slated to be delivered to broadcasters in December 2021, followed by season 6 in 2023, and season 7 in 2025.
